Litchfield Lacrosse currently has coaching opportunities available

The LLA is looking to fill positions at various age groups.  If you are willing to volunteer your time to help children learn and grow in the game of lacrosse and develop sportsmanship in a competitive environment, please click this link to the on-line coaching application: https://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Default.asp?n=119277&org=LITCHFIELDLACROSSE.ORG - details can be found in the application document, including contact information.

The league welcomes both coaches that are already certified and those who wish to become certified.  For those not yet certified, as part of becoming a coach the NH Youth Lacrosse Association requires that all head and assistant coaches be US Lacrosse Level 1 Certified.  To gain this certification, a coach is required by the LLA and NHYLA to take an online course, complete a background check and attend a half day “on-field class” run by US Lacrosse.  You will be required to attend all such classes as well as any coaching instruction provided by the LLA.  Specific costs related to coaching will be reimbursed after being assigned to a team.  All teams must have at least two certified coaches.

For the 2018 season, all boys teams and girls 12U/14U teams start practices indoors at the Bedford SportsPlex on the following dates and times (specifics will be determined after teams are formed):

Thursday March 7 - 6-8 pm
Thursday March 14 - 6-8 pm
Saturday March 16 - 8-10 am
Monday March 25 - 6-8 pm
Thursday April 4 - 6-8 pm
Saturday April 6 - 8-10 am
Thursday April 11 - 6-8 pm

The small field girls teams (grades 1-4) will have skills sessions starting in February and running through March.  Outdoor practices will begin in April and each team will practice 2-3 times a week through the second week in June.  Games are on Sunday, though there may be an occasional game on Saturday due to offsetting a bye week or for makeup purposes.  April 8th is slated to be the opening day.  There is an end of the season festival where a team may play on either Saturday 6/8 or Sunday 6/9 – the schedule is not determined until after the season ends.
